The Glen Innes Hospital Redevelopment project team were onsite early November to take a first-hand look at the demolition of Crommelin House, more commonly known as the old nurses’ quarters.

Hutchinson Builders was engaged in early 2023 to start enabling works for the redevelopment, including demolishing the quarters. This work will continue to the end of the year.

Planning for the Glen Innes Hospital redevelopment is progressing as part of the NSW Government’s $50 million investment to enhance healthcare facilities for Glen Innes and the surrounding community.

The schematic design for the redevelopment was released in August 2023. The project team has been working closely with Glen Innes Hospital staff to ensure the design meets the needs of patients, carers, staff and members of the community.

The team’s visit also included a look at the new co-located ambulance station which is opening soon.
