key projects working in tandem

The JHHIP project team recently presented to those working in the infrastructure industry at a Property Council Australia lunch in Newcastle.

Health Infrastructure Executive Director Amanda Bock was the keynote speaker and gave the audience an update on the JHHIP project, anticipated 2024 milestones and some key project initiatives.

We were joined by our partners Transport for NSW, which is managing the construction of the Rankin Park to Jesmond section of the Newcastle Inner City Bypass. The bypass will connect to the John Hunter campus and both teams meet regularly to ensure the interface between the projects is seamless.

Transport for NSW Executive Director Peter McNally presented on the bypass project and also joined our panellists.

On the panel were JHHIP Senior Project Director Nicholas Rayner and Project Director Narelle Bromilow who fielded questions from the audience about the planned refurbishment of the existing hospital, the project’s sustainability initiatives and future plans for the precinct.

Learn more about the bypass on the Transport for NSW project site.
