Congratulations! 

 

  • First place ($200 book voucher) won by Kathryn Hopps who suggested the winning names. 

  • Second place ($150 book voucher) won by Zoe and Ava Hiles who suggested Johnny and Hunter.  

  • Third place ($100 book voucher) won by Vanessa Lipski who suggested Kooka Konstructer and Crested Craner.  

  • The school that entered the most names, and winner of the $200 book voucher is Lambton Public School. 

Why the kookaburra (Werekata) and cockatoo (Keyarapai) were chosen


It's really important to us that the new precinct is welcoming and safe for all community members. We selected these two birds as they're often seen flying around the John Hunter campus and they're also very important in Aboriginal culture.
