Glen Innes Hospital redevelopment

Health Infrastructure in partnership with Hunter New England Health District is redeveloping the Glen Innes Hospital to provide improved health services for the Hunter New England community.

The Glen Innes Hospital will continue to function as a District Hospital and remain networked to Armidale, Tamworth and Inverell hospitals to provide the community with access to specialised services.

In February 2022 the NSW Government announced an additional $30 million to redevelop Glen Innes Hospital, bringing the total investment commitment to $50 million.

Community Benefits

The redevelopment will provide patients, families and carers a modern facility to meet the health needs of the community now and into the future.  It will also offer a more culturally appropriate environment to improve access for all population groups.
