builder appointed for stage 3 redevelopment

Work will soon be underway on the $45 million Muswellbrook Hospital Stage 3 Redevelopment with Richard Crookes Constructions appointed as the building contractor for the project.

Muswellbrook and surrounding communities will benefit from enhanced healthcare services close to home that complement and build on Muswellbrook Hospital’s stages 1 and 2. 

The builder will deliver the project’s scope which includes:

• New Operating Theatre suite
• New Central Sterilising Department
• Relocation of Community Health clinical spaces into the existing hospital

It’s anticipated that construction activities will commence later this year.

Completion of the Stage 3 project is anticipated for early 2027.

The project team will continue to consult with staff and community members as the project progresses.
