Project team hosts farewell for Crommelin House

Glen Innes Hospital Redevelopment project team recently held an afternoon tea to farewell Crommelin House and remember the building’s 70-year history. 

More commonly known as the Old Nurses Quarters, Crommelin House will be demolished to make way for the new Glen Innes District Hospital.   

The project team were joined by around 50 community members and staff who shared stories from their time either living or working in (or visiting people within) the building. 

While the building is being carefully removed over the coming months, the project team will continue to work with the staff of Glen Innes District Hospital to develop the detailed design for the new hospital.  

Final designs are expected to be shared with the community for feedback mid-2023.
