Contractor appointed to finalise Moree design

The $80 million Moree Hospital Redevelopment project has reached an important milestone with the appointment of the contractor to help finalise the design.  
 
BESIX Watpac has been engaged under an ‘Early Contractor Involvement’ (ECI) agreement to help finalise the design for the redevelopment, working with the project team and architect as well as clinicians, patients, and the community.
 
The concept design for the redevelopment includes a modern, fit-for-purpose facility that will best meet the healthcare needs of the community.
 
It highlights the connection to the local landscape, with natural light and privacy to create a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, staff and visitors. The new clinical services building will house emergency, imaging, operating theatres, birthing and the maternity and inpatient unit. 
 
There will be more opportunities to help shape the design of the redevelopment and the project team will seek feedback in coming months.
